When we make a UNILOVELY Halo hair extension, the hair is not treated as one visually flat layer. Instead, multiple thin hair wefts are prepared, positioned, and assembled into the Halo piece layer by layer.
We describe this approach as layered weft construction. Each thin weft becomes part of the finished Halo, with several layers overlapping to create the final density, color distribution, and movement.
This matters for solid colors, but it becomes especially useful when we are working with highlighted, mixed, or multi-tone Halo extensions. Different shades can appear at slightly different depths and positions instead of repeating in one perfectly uniform pattern.
“Layered weft construction” is the way we describe our assembly method. It refers to how multiple thin weft layers are arranged and built into the Halo piece. It is separate from terms such as Remy human hair or double-drawn hair, which describe other characteristics of the hair itself.

Matters Even

Blended Colors.
Natural hair color is rarely completely flat. Even hair that appears to be one shade can contain subtle differences created by natural variation, lighting, highlights, lowlights, and the way individual strands overlap.
That is why multi-tone hair extensions need more than the correct color formula. The distribution of those colors also affects how the finished extension looks.
Imagine a brown-and-blonde blend. If every lighter section appears at the same interval and in exactly the same position, the finished color may feel more patterned. When thin wefts with different tones overlap in several layers, some blonde appears closer to the surface, some sits underneath, and darker tones move between them.
The result is a more dimensional blend in which the colors can interact with each other instead of appearing as perfectly repeated stripes.
The layers still need to work together as one balanced color. We are not trying to make the distribution inconsistent. The purpose is to create depth and visual variation while keeping the overall shade harmonious.

Is layered construction only important for mixed colors?
No. The layered construction is part of how we assemble our Halo extensions, including solid shades. Multiple thin wefts work together to create the finished body and density of the piece.
However, the visual advantage becomes easier to notice with highlighted, blended, and multi-tone shades because those colors give the individual layers more opportunity to interact.
For a solid shade, the effect is primarily about building the Halo structure and fullness. For a multi-tone shade, the same layered structure also becomes part of the color design.
